PETIC project – Evaluation of the didactic scenarios

During the PETIC project, more than 30 Physical Education teachers from Greece, Slovenia and Luxemburg were called to participate in an 36hours online training regarding the reinforcement if their intercultural competence. After that, participants were asked to create and implement a didactic scenario based on the information they received from this training.  Didactic scenario is a learning structure focused on a particular aim, specific learning objectives, learning outcomes, based on educational learning theories.

EUPEA experts collected the didactic scenarios and evaluated participants’ efforts. Almost all the scenarios were well driven by the theoretical background of intercultural competence that was provided through the online training. Moreover, the scenarios served holistically the practical part with activities that used online techniques, cooperative learning, enriched equipment, and group discussions to connect the learning goals with the everyday life.

The didactic scenarios that were designed by the participants were equipped with structured learning situations that help students to create a realistic and culturally diverse mentality.    These scenarios were designed to engage students in critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making processes related to intercultural interactions. The content and the format of each didactic scenario is varying, depending on the specific learning objectives and the context the was chosen by each participant. Finally, some of them that were evaluated as excellent, will be published online as one of the next steps of the PETIC project.
