EUPEA Partners in the Moving for Health (MfH) Project
Advancing Physical and Health Literacy Across four Settings: Schools, Health centers, Community, Sport associations.
EUPEA is proud to participate as a key partner in the Moving for Health (MfH) project, an initiative focused on enhancing physical and health literacy (PL & HL) across diverse European communities. With the goal of equipping people with essential knowledge and skills for a healthier lifestyle, the MfH project highlights four major community settings where PL & HL have the potential to make a significant impact: schools, communities, health centers, and sports clubs.
Over recent months, EUPEA experts have collaborated with specialists from various organizations, pooling knowledge to produce a comprehensive report that serves as the project’s foundation. This report is based on an extensive review of scientific literature on PL & HL and includes good-practice examples specifically tailored to each of the four settings. By analyzing current research and identifying successful case studies, the team has gathered insights into how PL & HL initiatives can be effectively implemented and scaled to serve the unique needs of each community context.
This initial report now provides the backbone for the next phase of the MfH project: the creation of an online learning tool designed to make PL & HL more accessible and actionable for the mentioned target groups. This tool will serve as a practical resource for educators, health professionals, community leaders, and sports coaches, equipping them with structured knowledge and best practices to promote physical and health literacy in their respective fields. With this step, the MfH project aims to foster healthier, more active communities by bridging research and real-world application.
EUPEA looks forward to continuing this collaborative journey, building on the project’s momentum and contributing to the wider mission of integrating PL & HL into everyday life across Europe.
