EUPEA Participates in the 5th TPM of EPETD Project
The European Physical Education Association, recently participated in the 5th Transnational Meeting of the “EPETD – European Physical Education Teachers Day” project. The primary objective of participation was to underscore the significance of Physical Education (PE) as a crucial aspect of the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young individuals. Additionally, we aimed to shed light on the exemplary practices within this discipline implemented by European Physical Education Teachers.
During these study days, the host, Professor Viviana Zito (Capdi & LSM) and the other project partners from Spain, France, Portugal, and Italy, collaborated to deliberate on the organizational strategies for the upcoming European Physical Education Teachers Day. This significant event is slated to take place in November next year and will be celebrated across all Southern European nations.
This collective endeavor underscores the commitment of all partners to promote and advance the field of Physical Education, recognizing its pivotal role in nurturing well-rounded individuals and fostering holistic development among young people. Through collaborative projects like EPETD, these associations strive to create a platform for sharing best practices, enhancing professional development opportunities, and advocating for the importance of the Physical Education Teacher in the education system.
As we look forward to the upcoming European Physical Education Teachers Day, let us continue to champion the cause of Physical Education and its transformative impact on the lives of our youth.
